A plain description of what using AAUNation actually involves — not a legal document.
AAUNation is a directory and roster board for grassroots AAU basketball — organizations list teams and coaches, players (or their parent/guardian) create a profile, and both sides can post when they're looking for each other. Stats a player reports themselves start unverified; a coach confirming them, or entering them directly, is what marks them Verified.
An account is tied to whoever created it — the platform doesn't independently verify that a player account is actually being run by that player's parent or guardian, or that an organization account belongs to who it claims to. You're responsible for keeping your own account's information accurate and for anything posted through it.
A player profile is created and controlled by whoever signs up for it — in practice, a parent or guardian for most of the players on this platform, given the age range it covers (9U–17U).
Roster postings, player listings, bios, and reported stats are all user-submitted. AAUNation doesn't fact-check a bio or a posting's description — the coach-verification system exists specifically because self-reported stats shouldn't be taken at face value, which is also true of anything else you write about yourself or your program.
Don't post something you don't have the right to post, impersonate a person or organization you're not, or use the roster board / listings to spam or advertise something unrelated to actually finding a team or a player.
There's no messaging system built into AAUNation. When you reach out to a posting or listing's contact email, that conversation happens entirely outside the platform — AAUNation has no visibility into it and isn't a party to whatever you agree to with each other.
An admin account can remove a posting, listing, or organization that violates the above, or that a family/organization asks to have taken down (see the privacy page for how player visibility works). There's no formal appeals process built for this yet — reach out through the contact page either way.
AAUNation only uses the cookie Supabase's sign-in system sets to keep you logged in — nothing else. There's no analytics or advertising tracking on the platform today, and no cookie is set for anyone who isn't signed in.
This page describes the platform as it's actually built today and will be updated as that changes — it's not a static contract you're agreeing to a fixed version of.
