Yes. Creating a player profile, and registering a team or organization, is always free — no plan tiers, no season charge, no credit card required. The only things that ever cost money are Featured placement and posting an event.

Go to Create Player Profile from the top navigation, sign up with an email and password, and fill in your (or your player's) info. You choose whether the profile is public — until you check that box, it's only visible to you.

Go to Register and answer whether you're the organization/program director. Answering "Yes" registers the full organization, which is created with Pending status and reviewed before it shows up in public directories. Answering "No" registers just your one team — it goes live immediately, with no review wait, since you don't need to be the program director to get your team listed. Either way, registration is free.

Register it on its own — go to Register Your Team and answer "No" to the director question. Your team goes live right away under its own listing. Once your program's director registers the full organization, they can merge your team in from their organization's edit page — you keep managing your team's schedule and stats afterward exactly as before.

Organizations are the programs themselves — one listing per club or program. Teams are individual squads within those programs — an organization with five age groups has five separate team listings. Browse whichever matches what you're looking for.

The Openings is where organizations post open roster needs and players/families post that they're looking for a team. Filter by region, age group, or position. All contact happens directly by email — AAUNation doesn't handle messaging.

Directly, by email — AAUNation has no built-in messaging system. Every roster posting and team page shows a real contact email, so families and organizations talk to each other, not through us.

Featured gets you a guaranteed spot in the dedicated Featured section of your category directory for as long as you've paid for, plus a Featured badge wherever your profile appears, plus eligibility for the homepage. It also acts as a tiebreaker in search when two results are otherwise equally relevant — it never lets a less relevant match outrank a better one.

The homepage has a limited number of spots per category. If more customers are Featured than there are spots, everyone rotates through based on real exposure data — whoever has been shown least gets priority for the next spot — so no paying customer gets permanently buried behind someone else.

No. Featured is paid visibility only. It never changes a player's ranking, evaluation, or stats, and it's never a substitute for verification — the Featured badge and the Verified stat badge are two entirely different things.

You choose a term when you purchase — 1, 2, 6, or 12 months. When it expires, your profile isn't removed or hidden, it just returns to standard, free visibility. You can optionally turn on auto-renew at purchase, which bills automatically and keeps your placement active without you having to repurchase manually.

Yes — when you purchase Featured, you choose exactly what you're featuring: a specific player profile, a specific team, or the organization as a whole.

The player's own account, or the coach/organization managing their team. Anyone else can't submit stats for a player they don't manage.

It means the player's organization reviewed the submission and approved it. Pending stats are visible but marked as such until that happens.

Coaches log each game on their team's schedule with the result and score — the team's win/loss record is calculated directly from those logged games, not typed in separately, so it can't drift out of sync. After a game, a coach (or anyone they trust, like a team manager) can enter a full box score — points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, turnovers, fouls, and who started — which shows up Verified on every player's profile immediately.
