Getting Started
Is AAUNation free to use?+−
Yes. Creating a player profile, and registering a team or organization, is always free — no plan tiers, no season charge, no credit card required. The only things that ever cost money are Featured placement and posting an event.
How do I create a player profile?+−
Go to Create Player Profile from the top navigation, sign up with an email and password, and fill in your (or your player's) info. You choose whether the profile is public — until you check that box, it's only visible to you.
How do I register my team or organization?+−
Go to Register. Your organization is created with Pending status and reviewed before it shows up in public directories — this is free and doesn't require payment.
How do players and organizations connect?+−
Directly, by email — AAUNation has no built-in messaging system. Every roster posting and team page shows a real contact email, so families and organizations talk to each other, not through us.
Search & Discovery
How does search work?+−
The search box in the navigation looks across player names, team names, organization names, and states — so searching just a first name, just a team name, or just a state all work. Results are grouped by Players, Teams, and Organizations.
Why can't I find my state or city in a dropdown?+−
State is a fixed list of all 50 states. City includes major metros for each state, with an "Other" option for anywhere not listed — pick that and you can type your city directly.
Featured Placement
What does Featured actually do?+−
Featured increases your profile's visibility throughout AAUNation — priority placement in relevant searches and directories, a spot in the dedicated Featured section, a premium Featured badge on your profile and cards, and eligibility for homepage rotation.
Does Featured affect rankings or verification?+−
No. Featured is paid visibility only. It never changes a player's ranking, evaluation, or stats, and it's never a substitute for verification — the Featured badge and the Verified stat badge are two entirely different things.
What happens when my Featured plan expires?+−
Your profile isn't removed or hidden — it simply returns to standard, free visibility. You keep your normal profile, listing, and any stats or history exactly as they were.
Can I feature a specific team, not just my whole organization?+−
Yes — when you purchase Featured, you choose exactly what you're featuring: a specific player profile, a specific team, or the organization as a whole.
Events
How much does it cost to post an event?+−
A Standard listing is $29 and includes a full event page, directory listing, and links to your registration and website. A Featured listing is $79 and adds a Featured badge, priority placement, homepage rotation eligibility, and event analytics.
Where does the registration link go?+−
Wherever you enter as your event's registration URL — AAUNation links out to it, it doesn't process registrations or payments for your event directly.
Stats & Verification
Who can report a player's stats?+−
The player's own account, or the coach/organization managing their team. Anyone else can't submit stats for a player they don't manage.
What does a Verified stat mean?+−
It means the player's organization reviewed the submission and approved it. Pending stats are visible but marked as such until that happens.
