How This Platform Handles Data

Most players on AAUNation are minors. A player profile is private by default — it only appears on a public page after a parent or player explicitly opts in. Until then, the profile doesn't show up in team rosters, search, or anywhere else on the site.

Even when a profile is public, it never includes a way to contact the player directly. There's no field for a player's personal email or phone number anywhere on the platform — it was left out of the data model entirely, not just hidden from view.

When an organization posts an open roster spot, the contact email shown is always the organization's own — never a player's. When a family posts that a player is looking for a team, the contact email shown is one the family chose to include on that listing, at their discretion.

AAUNation doesn't operate a messaging system. There's no inbox, no relay, and no record of conversations kept on the platform — contact information is shown directly so people can reach out on their own.

Organizations provide public information about their program — name, location, circuit, bio, and a contact email — along with account details for whoever manages the listing.

Players (or their parent/guardian) provide name, position, grad year, height, hometown, school, and an optional bio and photo. None of this is shown publicly unless the profile is explicitly made public.

Anyone browsing the site doesn't need an account to view public team pages, player profiles, articles, or the roster board.

• We don't share or sell data to third parties — as built, nothing on this platform sends data anywhere outside it.
• We don't show a player's personal contact information publicly, ever — that field doesn't exist in the first place.
• We don't read, store, or relay messages between organizations and families — there's no messaging feature to do that with.
